Jesus has risen but not yet seen.. Followers were down trodden. Jesus makes appearances.
The resurrection of Jesus has taken place. Is that the end? We celebrate but what is next? The Resurrection wasn't the end, it was the beginning. Jesus appears to various individuals and the challenge to continue is given. What have you done with the truth of the resurrection?
The God of Easter... is the same God of all generations. His love has been to all people, of all ages, of all generations. Yet His love only has meaning and impact to you when you accept His gift of salvation.
As the Apostle Paul nears the end of his life, he gives us insight into the people that had influenced him and those he had influenced. Some had served faithfully while others fell away. Paul emphasizes the importance of relationships and the many people who love the things of the Lord more than the things of this world.
In II Timothy chapter 4 we see Paul making a shift. That shift is from Paul addressing Timothy about the ministry to Paul addressing Timothy about himself. Three very important verbs fought, finished, and kept. These verbs challenge us this very day.
