How do you know when someone makes a promise to you?
"I Promise..."
Promise 1: He will never leave you nor forsake you.
- Deuteronomy 31:6
- Forsake means to abandon
- God will never leave or abandon you
Promise 2: Nothing can separate you from the love of God
- Romans 8:37-39
- He loves us. Unconditionally
- You are a Masterpiece
- You are loved
- You are worth it
Promise 3: To give you hope and a future
- Jeremiah 29:11
- But YOUR plan is not the right plan for you, no matter how amazing it is, and how tailor made it is to you. It is still wrong
- Your life = rental car
- Hope & future / Hope & future / Future is sealed
Promise 4: My grace is sufficient for you
- 2 Corinthians 12:9
- Sufficiency = Enough
- Don't deserve grace / Guilty about receiving it
- Get out of jail free card / Reckless / No accountability
- Somewhere in the middle
- Romans 6:1-2
Promise 5: No one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand
- John 10:28
- The atoning work of Jesus on the cross was authoritative and final
- Ephesians 4:30
- Once saved, always saved.
- Eternal Security
- You have that in Christ
