What is it about?

Shepherds

Luke 2:9-16

They hurried off

King Herod

• He was a man who was under his own authority
  

Jesus

•  Jesus was under God the Father's authority
  

John 19:10-11 (ESV)

Jesus accepted that authority

A true willing servant

What do we see?

If you have accepted Christ as your Savior then you are His disciple and you are under his authority.

Are you willingly submitted to Him?

Love God, love your neighbor, pray for your enemies, consider others above yourself, tell people about Him and be ready to teach them about it

2 Timothy 1:7 (ESV)

God is going to give me the strength to do the things He is asking of me

Am I going to submit to God's authority today or am I going to live for myself?

Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV or ESV)

Would I be comfortable telling someone about Christ?

Be ready to answer in love

Ask God to change you

The lost are worth it

• Not because we say so but because HE says so
  

Our life becomes one not of self-reliance, but of reliance solely on Christ... willingly submitted to His authority.
